University Of Washington License Agreement

In line with the University of Washington`s innovation imperative, CoMotion is committed to a fair and transparent process that treats all UW startup teams equally, whether they are new students or award-winning faculty and are independent of their business or legal experience and resources. CoMotion`s goal is to ensure that each team lowers their licensing agreement efficiently, with minimal attorney fees and the confidence that the terms they agree on are both industry standard and can be invested. The Husky FAST Start Term Sheet describes the financial terms of controlled university startup licenses, comparable to those of peer-reviewed universities and based on industry data. These technical terms are available through spin-offs created by UW students, professors, and collaborators who have developed the innovation. The simplified and standardized templates for startup term sheets and licensing agreements were verified by a panel of lawyers from several local law firms. Throughout the process, our teams of innovation manager startups provide advice and general information on the different aspects of the license agreement.
